Got to see AFI tonight for the first time in about 5 years. So great live. Davey Havok just has this presence that is truly unparalleled. God-like even. Set list was pretty decent. I would've liked a little bit longer of a set, but it was still pretty damn good.
Torch Song
Girl's Not Grey
Kill Caustic
Veronica Sawyer Smokes
Leaving Song Pt. II
End Transmission
Wester
Beautiful Thieves
Love is a Many Splendored Thing
Leaving Song
On The Arrow
Dancing Through Sunday
Medicate
Love Like Winter
encore:
Death Of Seasons
Miss Murder
Silver & Cold
Like I said, if they had played three more songs or so, I would've been set. Any of these would've done: Morning Star, Total Immortal, Days of the Phoenix, God Called in Sick Today, This Life Imperfect, This Celluloid Dream. Just to name a few.
I also would've liked to have seen a different selection from the new record "Crash, Love." I really just don't like for the song "Veronica Sawyer Smokes." Could've replaced it with "Sacrilege" or "Darling I Want to Destroy You."
All that aside, like I said, it was a great show. AFI could play just their singles and they'd be amazing. I really wanted to go to this show, since I haven't seen them in so long. With help from Madi and Bugs, I finally got down there.
Also, my beloved Hawks had another great night. Al Horford and Josh Smith finished with double doubles. Joe Johnson had 35 points. I was pretty disappointed in Marvin though, as he's on my fantasy team and didn't, and hasn't produced very well lately. Step it up Marv, join the rest of the squad. With tonight's over time, sweeping win over Portland, the Hawks moved up to first place in the NBA. Fuck yeah Atlanta!
